Mission Impossible 7 is moving release dates again. The Tom Cruise blockbuster series is seeing some turmoil due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MI7 moves from September 30, 2022 to July 14, 2023. Mission Impossible 8 moves to June 28, 2024 from July 7, 2023. The COVID-19 pandemic might not have derailed Spider-Man: No Way Home or other films, but it’s making its presence felt on upcoming flicks.

Paramount and Skydance had this to say in a release:

After thoughtful consideration, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have decided to postpone the release dates for Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 in response to delays due to the ongoing pandemic. The new release dates will be July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively. We look forward to providing moviegoers with an unparalleled theatrical experience,

Tom Cruise still has Top Gun: Maverick on May 27, 2022. That film is not expected to shift release dates. The cast for Mission Impossible 7 and 8 includes Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, and Charles Parnell.
