The next project from Shondaland and Netflix will be hitting our screens soon! The limited series, Inventing Anna, tells the story of the ultimate con artist Anna Sorokin, aka Anna Devlin.

WHO IS ANNA SOROKIN?
Anna Sorkin aka Anna Devlin is the convicted fraudster who took the New York Party scene by storm. In 2013 and 2017, she pretended to be a wealthy German heiress defrauding banks, hotels, as well as wealthy people. The courts convicted Anna on multiple counts of attempted grand larceny, larceny in the 2nd degree, and theft of services. It’s no wonder Shonda Rhimes is all over this juicy story.
INVENTING ANNA
The limited series from Netflix/Shondaland tells the story from the perspective of a journalist, Vivian. While Anna awaits trial, she and Vivan form a dark, funny, love-hate bond as she tries to figure out the answer to Who is Anna? Is she New York’s biggest con woman, or is she just the new portrait of the American Dream?
The limited series is inspired by the New York Magazine article, “How an Aspiring ‘It’ Girl Tricked New York’s Party People – and its Banks” by Jessica Pressler, who also serves as a producer.
Inventing Anna stars Emmy Award-Winning actress, Julia Garner (Ozark), Anna Chlumsky (My Girl), Arian Moayed (Succession), Katie Lowes (Scandal), Alexis Floyd (The Bold Type), Anders Holm (Champions), Anna Deavere Smith (Nurse Jackie), Jeff Perry (Scandal), Terry Kinney (The Little Things), and Laverne Cox (Orange is the new Black).
