Rejoice, My Hero Academia fans! Because the first MHA game ever translated to English has just hit our shores. They’ve even made a nice launch trailer to celebrate the occasion.
My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero, from Sony Pictures Television and Funimation, launches today on May 19, 2021. This is the first My Hero Academia game to ever see an English release. The game itself may be a mobile game, but it seems pretty high quality judging from the trailer above.
Players can download My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero for free from the iTunes App Store or from Google Play. You can also sign up for free at MyHeroGame.com. You can even receive free in-game goodies if you sign up directly from their website, so that’s a bit of an incentive right there.
My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero Details
So what’s My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero about? Well, at its core, it’s an open world action RPG game similar to other superhero games like Infamous or 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man. The game allows fans to play their favorite characters from Class 1-A, including Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki, pro heroes like All Might and Endeavor, and even villains like Stain. Players can build their own team roster in story mode and take on classic villains like Shigaraki and Nomu. My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero even lets players challenge each other in PVP or take on the Allied Assault in co-op mode. New content will be released every month, adding more of the players’ favorite heroes and villains.
The one thing you might not like about My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero is the fact that it’s a free to play game. Thus, the game follows a freemium model and uses in-game purchases to get money. To be fair though, it’s a problem all freemium games have. It’s understandable if this may not strike your fancy. But it is the first My Hero Academia game to get an English release though, and the game does seem pretty high quality. It might be worth a try.
Conclusion
On this day in May 19, 2021; the first My Hero Academia game based on the hit anime to get an English release hits our shores. True, My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero may be a free mobile game. However, as the first MHA game in English, perhaps it might be worth a try? At least, until another MHA game gets an English release.
