Shudder and RJLE Films are bringing Jakob’s Wife to theaters, streaming, digital, and On Demand this April. The film comes from the same team that made the excellent Girl On The Third Floor. It stars Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), Larry Fessenden (Habit), Nyisha Bell (Coming 2 America), Mark Kelly (The Hot Zone), Sarah Lind (Wolfcop), Robert Rusler (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2), Bonnie Aarons (The Nun), and Phil Brooks, aka CM Punk. It’s directed by Travis Stevens who co-wrote the film alongside Mark Steensland and Kathy Charles.

The official synopsis goes like this.

Anne is married to a small-town minister and feels like her life and marriage have been shrinking over the past 30 years. After a chance encounter with “The Master,” she discovers a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than before. As Anne is increasingly torn between her enticing new existence and her life before, the body count grows and Jakob realizes he will have to fight for the wife he took for granted.

By the looks of it, this is Barbara Crampton’s movie, through and through. Jakob’s Wife should be a horror film that we’re all interested in seeing this April. It’s an interesting take on the vampire genre combined with that stellar cast.

We’ll have to see when it releases in April.

So, what do you think of Jakob’s Wife?
