Great news Star Wars collectors! For those of you who collect the 6″ Black series figures, they just added a new Sith to the collection. This Sith becomes only the third figure from the Old Republic era to be released. They released Jedi Revan and Darth Revan. Now get ready for Black Series Darth Nihilus!
Nihilus can be found for pre-order exclusively at GameStop in the US, EB Games in Canada, and Forbidden Planet in the UK. Release looks to be some time in November, so either pre-order quickly or send out your probe droids. This Sith will fly fast!
Black Series Darth Nihilus – Blast From the Past
Nihilus becomes only the third Black Series figure from the Old Republic, and if you do not know who the other two were, here’s a hint – they were both called Revan. The one thing the two share besides being ancient Sith Lords is their origins. They both originate from the wildly successful games from the mid 2000s. Revan came from the original Knights of the Old Republic game while Nihilus originates from the sequel Knights of the Old Republic II. While the second game did not fair as well due to its rush to production, Nihilus and his distinctive mask made him stand out as a Sith.
Nihilus joined Darth Traya and Darth Scion to lead a triumvirate of Sith against the Jedi. Of course Sith nature being what it is, Nihilus over threw Traya as the leader. He and Darth Scion went on to almost obliterate the Jedi.
You will have to play Knights of the Old Republic II for the rest of his story, but the release of Nihilus as a Black Series figure makes him one of the premiere collectors pieces in the collection. He should strike quite the image posed next to Darth Revan. Let us hope Darths Malak, Traya and Scion aren’t too far behind release in the Black Series.
