Hello there, now that STAR WARS: The Rise of Skywalker and season one of The Mandalorian are done I guess there really isn’t much to talk about these days about Star Wars. OK, yes there is always something Star Wars to talk about and today is no different. We already know that the new Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series is in the works but very little has put out. All we know for sure is that it is happening and that Ewan McGregor we be reprising his role as the Jedi Master about 8 years or so after the Revenge of the Sith. Well thanks to some chatter intercepted from some probe droids there are some new rumors that may give us some more information on the new series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi casting

Before I go any future remember as of now these are rumors. According Daniel Richtman (who has been a source of Star Wars inside information), a new casting grid has appeared for the upcoming Obi-Wan series. This grid shows four roles. The first one of course is Obi-Wan Kenobi played by McGregor, but the next 3 do not have any actors assigned. They are Male Lead (20-30), Female Lead (20-30), and then one that caught everyone’s attention… Young Luke (Supporting Male).

The three new roles

What makes these roles interesting is the time frame of when the Obi-Wan series happening. With this only being a few years after the Revenge of the Sith, young Luke would be around 8 to 10 years old. So, that would be about the same age when we first met a young Anakin Skywalker. While there are no other names given, the other two roles only show the age frame they are looking for. It could suggest that we will see two more people that we are familiar with on Tatooine. Could these be Luke’s adoptive parents Owen and Beru Lars? It could be but like always we will have to wait for the official announcement from Disney.

Owen and Beru Lars

We want to hear from you.

The new Obi-Wan Kenobi series written by Hossein Amini and directed by Deborah Chow will air on Disney+. Even though we do not have an official date many Star Wars fans can’t wait.
