Disney’s live-action Aladdin hits theaters May 24th, and we just got a new teaser trailer for the film.
Previously we only got a sneak peek at some images from the film. This trailer finally gives us our first looks at The Magic Carpet, Raja, Princess Jasmine in one of her new costumes, and we also get to see a really amazing shot of Agrabah during what looked like the musical number for Prince Ali.
More importantly, this trailer also gives us the official first look at Will Smith’s Genie.
We know that Will Smith said a few months ago that we would be seeing Genie as the iconic blue color, and this trailer reveal did not disappoint. He looks exactly like the animated Genie from the 1991 movie.
This reveal is one reveal that all of the fans have been waiting for, and now it seems like the film is setting up to be one of the best Disney films this year. That’s no small feat, considering Disney is also releasing Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars: Episode IX this year, as well.
Aladdin premiers in theaters everywhere this spring on May 24.
