The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah is heading to the mobile video platform, Quibi. Player vs. Player with Trevor Noah will pit Noah’s professed gaming skills against some of the top gamers.
The series is produced by Comedy Central Studios and Noah’s Day Zero Productions. The series will bring together some of the biggest names in gaming for a chance of beating Trevor Noah. Noah proclaims to be the “best non-professional FIFA player on the planet.”
Player vs. Player with Trevor Noah plans on having many big names in the gaming and esports world as well as celebrities battling it out with Noah. The titles and consoles will be varied, but the amount of trash-talk will be abundant.
With Noah’s back-to-back Emmy nominations for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, landing a Quibi series should put the streaming platform back in the conversation. Quibi struggled finding its footing as a streaming platform since its release in April, but generating content focused on gaming and highlighting online personalities like gamers may be a good move.
