One thing that most fans can agree on is the fact that the Star Wars prequels were chocked full of interesting characters. We got to see younger versions of fan favorites (Obi-Wan, Yoda, Jabba the Hutt), while also meeting new characters of Star Wars lore (Padme, for one.) However, there were plenty of minor characters in the prequel trilogy that would later have bigger roles in Star Wars storytelling. Here are five prequel characters that would live on past the Clone Wars, and their fates.

Weazel

Since portraying Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, Warwick Davis has appeared in every Star Wars film since except Episodes II and III. Notwithstanding, you wouldn’t recognize him in most of those roles. The only role in which he’s acted out of full costume was as Weazel.

Weazel was one of the prequel characters in The Phantom Menace. He sat beside Watto as a pod race gambler/spectator. Of course the Empire didn’t exist then, and a gambler’s life in the Outer Rim wasn’t that bad. Conversely, once the Empire took control of the galaxy, Weazel’s life took a turn for the worse. He’d suffer such great loss that he’d join Enfys Nest’s rebel cell by the time of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Fate after Solo: Unknown.
