From one fantasy classic to another… Rosabell Laurenti Sellers will appear in Lucasfilm’s Willow series!
The actress is best known for appearing on HBO’s Game of Thrones. She played Tyene Sand, daughter of Ellaria and Prince Oberyn Martell. Tyene and her sisters (collectively, the Sand Snakes) take part in the coup in Dorne.
We don’t know too much about Sellers’ upcoming role on Willow, unfortunately. However, Deadline reports she will play someone “resourceful… with sharp, acerbic wit.”
The Willow series comes from Disney+ and Lucasfilm. It’s a TV spinoff of the 1980s fantasy classic feature of the same name. In the film, a princess gathers allies to join her on a quest to rescue her twin brother.
Sellers joins previously announced cast members, including Warwick Davis, Ruby Cruz, Tony Revolori, Amer Chadha-Patel , Ellie Bamber, Erin Kellyman, and Talisa Garcia.
Beyond Game of Thrones, Sellers’ other credits include Nickelodeon’s Mia And Me and sports drama Trading Paint with John Travolta.
Disney hasn’t revealed a specific release date for Willow yet. But during Disney+ Day last November, the cast revealed the show intended to drop sometime in 2022. Reportedly, the series has officially entered post-production. So, we can expect to see it later this year.
