Whether you like it digitally or on disc, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is heading home. The prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road is coming to digital at home on June 25th for $29.99. It’ll hit Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD on August 13th.

George Miller returns to direct and write the script for Furiosa with co-writer Nico Lathouris. It stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, and Tom Burke. Here’s a synopsis for those who might have missed the movie.

As the world fell, young Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth). Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Later this year, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Black & Chrome Edition will be available. This version of the theatrical film has the color removed in favor of a black-and-chrome aesthetic. The Edition will feature an introduction by director George Miller.

Additionally, a 5-film collection featuring 1979’s acclaimed post-apocalyptic action film Mad Max, 1981’s Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and 2024’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be released together on 4K Ultra HD later this year. Created by George Miller and Byron Kennedy, Miller directed or co-directed all five films in the Mad Max franchise.

Here’s what we had to say about Furiosa in our 97% review.

The push-pull dynamic between Dementus and Furiosa is at the center. It’s Dementus’ wild chase to get what he wants and can’t have. It’s Furiosa’s quest to return to the Green Place and keep the seed of life alive, metaphorically and literally. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a spectacle. It’s a vengeance-filled tale with explosive set pieces frenetically taking us through the evolution of Furiosa as a character. This is truly an exquisite time at the movies.
