The Wicked movie is a film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical “Wicked,” which is based on the novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire. This story takes place before the events of “The Wizard of Oz.”

Wicked follows the unlikely friendship between two witches, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande), in the Land of Oz.
