Marvel just revealed a random update on Hawkeye Season 2. It’s been quite a few months since MCU fans have seen Kate Bishop. A return trip to New York City could be in the works. Entertainment Weekly talked to Marvel Television and Streaming boss Brad Winderbaum about making more Hawkeye. In a push for shows to run multiple seasons, the executive identified Jeremy Renner and his running mate as a perfect story to revisit.

Hawkeye is another one that feels like you can make a second season of that show because it’s Christmas, because it’s Clint and Kate,” Winderbaum argued. “You can kind of revisit it whenever, and we’re looking for opportunities to do that. But as we develop things for the future, I think they’re going to be designed to be multiple seasons, have more of a pattern, and be able to be released annually.”

That last sentence feels like the kind of thing you hear echoed online a lot these days. The old broadcast TV model has been doing gangbusters on streaming. With Marvel Studios refining their approach, it would make sense to zero in a select number of titles to develop. Fans might have a great chance to check-in with Hawkeye when the new show announcements begin rolling out.

Marvel Studios Eyeing Season 2’s For Multiple Shows

Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Agatha

Hawkeye might not be the only Disney+ MCU show to get a second season. During the same interview, the Marvel TV executive also mentioned Agatha All Along. EW asked Winderbaum about Kathryn Hahn’s fan-favorite witch. He knows how much viewers enjoyed last year’s dramatic return to Westview. But, the studio isn’t trying to rush Season 2 either.

Winderbaum began, “I think it’s ‘linear series potential. A show like Agatha, to me, is concept based. Yes, a second season for sure is something that we would want to do, but let’s not rush it. Let’s get the right idea and then make it.”

Agatha All Along was nothing short of a phenomenon on Disney+. A lot of online commenters wondered if Marvel could recreate WandaVision fever. Well, the zeitgeist responded by making “The Ballad of the Wtiches Road” trend on the Billboard Hot 100. Needless to say, if you were starting a Season 2 initiative for Marvel Television, there would be worse places to start than Agatha and Hawkeye. Formal announcements are going to have to wait for now.
