Toei Animation is one of the oldest and most venerable animation studios in the world. After all, they are the studio that brought to life some of the most popular anime series in existence. Dragon Ball, One Piece, Digimon: all are the results of Toei, and their success speaks for themselves. It’s fairly difficult to find anyone who hasn’t at least heard of these three anime series. Heck, in many cases, they have become integral parts of most people’s childhoods. This includes myself in the bargain.
Thus, it’s not a surprise that Toei Animation would have a presence at New York Comic Con 2024 (NYCC 2024). All for the purposes of bringing these three beloved anime series to the convention. Don’t believe me? Then let’s find out more about this together, shall we?
NYCC 2024: Toei Animation Booth Details
Toei Animation is proud to announce that they will celebrate Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Digimon via their booth and panels at NYCC 2024. For their exhibit booth in particular (#2635), they have something new for us. This year, the booth will feature two pop-up shops. One will be the ever-popular Toei Animation X Dim Mak Pop-Up Shop, which will feature a “curated selection of One Piece merchandise, including hoodies, t-shirts and shorts as wells as NYCC exclusive releases like a Straw Hats crew puffer tote bag, Egghead Luffy skate deck and enamel pin collection”. The other is something new to NYCC: the Mugiwara Store Pop-Up Shop. This will be a “recreation of the famed Japanese retail concept and world’s largest official One Piece store—featuring a collection of One Piece merchandise exclusive to Mugiwara and previously only available in Japan, including several exclusive items from the new Harajuku store”.
