Marvel is planning to return to WandaVision with their upcoming new Vision series. Which is a bit funny, because that’s not even the title of this upcoming series. It’s just what everyone has been calling it in the absence of any official title from Marvel Studios. Fortunately, what we do know so far is that this series is definitely happening. How else do you explain actors like Ultron’s voice actor signing up to become part of the cast?
Marvel’s Vision Series: Ultron Casting Details
The Hollywood Reporter has just announced that a new cast member has just been added to the ever-growing lineup of Marvel’s Vison series. Who, you might ask? Well, please welcome James Spader, who will be reprising his role as the Ultron. Fans of the MCU will note that Spader did a pretty good job as the voice of that robotic supervillain in the titular Avengers: Age of Ultron. Which hopefully means that he will do just as good a job in this upcoming series. You know, despite Ultron himself meeting his end at the end of that film. Maybe he’ll be a hallucination of the past? Or perhaps he survived as a remnant in some backup program somewhere? Either way, his appearance will be quite fascinatingly complex to explain.
James Spader won’t be alone in Marvel’s Vision series though. He will be joining Paul Bettany, who played the titular Vision in WandaVision and other MCU films, and will be reprising his role in this upcoming series. Alas, we only know that Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) will be this series’ showrunner, and that’s it. We will just have to wait for more casting details from Marvel Studios at a later date.
Tune back in to THS to find out more about this upcoming Vision series and other Marvel news when we do.
