Coming soon to Apple TV+ is the new medical drama series, Midnight Family. It’s a 10-episode series from showrunner and director Natalia Beristain. It will debut on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, September 25 with two episodes, then one episode through November 20. Along with the announcement Apple also released a few images from the series.

About the Series

Midnight Family is inspired by the award-winning drama by the same name. It follows Marigaby Tamayo, an ambitious and gifted medical student. Marigaby by day spends her time as a gifted medical student, and by night, saving lives throughout a sprawling, contrasted, and fascinating Mexico City aboard her family’s privately owned ambulance. Along with her dad Ramon, and her siblings Marcus and Julito, Marigaby serves a large population by taking on extreme medical emergencies to make a living.

The Cast

The series of Midnight Family features an entirely Hispanic cast and crew led by Joaquín Cosío, Renata Vaca Diego Calva, and introduces Sergio Bautista with special participation by Óscar Jaenada, and with José María de Tavira, Itzan Escamilla, Mariana Gómez, and Dolores Heredia, Special guest Oscar nominee Yalitza Aparicio.

Creative Team

Midnight Family hails from showrunner and director Natalia Beristain. It was created for television by Julio Rojas and Gibrán Portela. The series is produced by Juan de Dios Larraín and Pablo Larraín through Fabula, the production company behind Oscar-winning film A Fantastic Woman.

Rodrigo Herranz, Christian Vesper, Luke Lorentzen, Kellen Quinn, Josh Braun and Jonathan Bouzali also serve as executive producers. The project marks the second collaboration for Apple TV+, Fremantle and Beristáin. They previously directed episodes of the Apple Original series The Mosquito Coast.

Apple TV+’s Midnight Family will premiere on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, September 25, exclusively on their streaming service. Followed by one new episode every Wednesday through November 20.
