Yesterday, King Diamond’s official Twitter/X posted a tease for something coming on Halloween. Today, we got a brand-new music video for his track “Masquerade of Madness.” You can check out the video above! It is slightly disappointing to get a music video for a track that is nearly four years old now, and no mention of a new album or the timeline for the album The Institute.

King Diamond debuted “Masquerade of Madness” on the last tour he and the band went on in 2019, just before the COVID-19 pandemic. To be fair, the man has also been busy whipping up a new Mercyful Fate album. They also have a new track from that untitled album that they played on their most recent tour, “The Jackal Of Salzburg.”

We’ll have to hope with the coming of a new year, means more details about The Institute. As for now, all we have is this music video and the art from its single release in 2019.

So, what do you think of the music video for “Masquerade of Madness” from King Diamond? Are you excited? Are you disappointed? Let us know in the comments.
