Prime Video’s Daisy Jones and the Six is my most anticipated show of the year! I cannot WAIT to discuss it with fellow book lovers. We’ve already seen a few images, a teaser trailer, and the first song drop from the Aurora album, “Regret Me”.
Now, Prime Video has finally dropped the Official Trailer, as well as Key Art for the series. So, yes, this will be my personality for the rest of the year.
OFFICIAL TEASER TRAILER FOR DAISY JONES AND THE SIX!
“We can make a good thing bad…”
In the trailer we see Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) meet Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) in the studio for the first time. This is the session where the two records “Honeycomb” and Daisy makes her mark on the band…with a lot of resistance from Billy.
Then, over Billy’s narration of what he feels the song is about we see his life with his wife, Camila. Jumping back to the studio hearing the two sing together, while simultaneously watching Daisy hear their song for the first time on her Diner’s jukebox. Watching the band hit #1 and the insanity of success.
This is followed by hints of Billy and Daisy’s artistic intimacy that both his brother and wife noticed. Then, we see moments of them together while trying to tell everyone, including themselves, that nothing is going on between them. Followed by a montage of tragedy.
WHAT IS DAISY JONES AND THE SIX?
Daisy Jones & The Six is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling novel about a fictional band in the 1970s. The story is told interview style and retells the rise and fall of a renowned rock band.
In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.
