So as it turns out: WandaVision will get a dark comedy spinoff series called Agatha: Coven of Chaos. And as it also turns out, that spinoff just snagged Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia to be in it. Who are they, you might ask? Well, find out below:
More Witches for the Coven of Chaos?
Deadline just announced that Agatha: Coven of Chaos has just snagged Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia for the show. Unfortunately, what they don’t mention is what characters those actresses are going to play. All we know is that they’re going to join the existing cast of Kathryn Hahn (reprising her role as the titular Agatha herself), Emma Caulfield Ford (reprising her role as Sarah Proctor/”Dottie Jones”), Joe Locke (unnamed male lead), and Aubrey Plaza (possible female villain).
Presumably, Disney will let us know who Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia will play as we get closer to the show’s premiere date. Unfortunately, that won’t be a for a while. Agatha: Coven of Chaos won’t premiere on Disney+ until sometime late next year in late 2023. So it will be a while before we get any news on that front from Disney. Tune back into THS much later to get that news when we do. In the meantime though, let’s take a look at our pair of new actresses for this dark comedy spinoff to WandaVision, shall we?
Ali Ahn: Details
Ali Ahn is the more mysterious and little-known of this pair of actresses joining Agatha: Coven of Chaos. She doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page yet, making most details of her life an enigma. The only concrete pieces of info comes from the Wikipedia article for the superhero drama series Raising Dion (2019) and IMDb. If you recall watching Raising Dion, she actually played Suzanne Wu there. IMDb also revealed she played a role in the horror series Supernatural (2006) and in the financial crime drama series Billions (2016). Unfortunately, IMDb doesn’t reveal who she played in those shows, so that will remain just as mysterious as the actress herself.
Maria Dizzia: Details
Maria Dizzia is the much more well-known member of this pair of new actresses for Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Mostly because she actually has a Wikipedia article. Her film career began with Sense (1998), and her latest role is as Jennifer in the coming-of-age black comedy film Funny Pages (2022). As for her TV career, she started by played Daphne in a single episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, with her latest role being a recurring role as Lori Campbell in the biographical drama series The Staircase (2022). She also did some stage work in plays such as Eurydice (2007), In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) (2009), and a 2022 adaptation of MacBeth. There’s quite a bit of fame there for Dizzia. Perhaps Ahn can also get such a detailed article when she gets her own Wikipedia page?
