Two more stars just joined Peacock’s mysterious Mrs. Davis series. The upcoming sci-fi show will feature both David Arquette and Elizabeth Marvel.
The pair join previously announced leads Betty Gilpin and Jake McDorman. Other announced cast members include Andy McQueen, Ben Chaplin, and Margo Martindale.
Plot details about Mrs. Davis are largely being kept under wraps. So, we don’t really know anything about the roles Arquette and Marvel will play in the show. Peacock describes Mrs. Davis as “an exploration of faith versus technology” and “an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions.” Three-time Emmy nominee Gilpin stars as a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence. McDorman will play Gilpin’s rebellious ex, who also has a personal vendetta against the Algorithm.
The series comes from Tara Hernandez (Young Sheldon, The Big Bang Theory) and Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost). Alethea Jones (Rise of the Pink Ladies, Evil) will executive produce and direct multiple episodes. Emmy winner Owen Harris (Black Mirror: San Junipero, Brave New World) will also executive produce and direct multiple episodes, including the pilot.
Arquette is best known for his role in the Scream horror films as Dewey Riley. He recently appeared in the fifth film in the franchise.
Marvel starred in Homeland. Her recent TV work includes Manifest and the mini series The Dropout.
Peacock has not revealed a potential release date yet for Mrs. Davis. So, check back to THS for more updates on this series.
