The second and final season of Pacific Rim: The Black will soon make its action-packed debut on Netflix. To build up the hype for this anime about giant robots fighting giant kaiju in war-torn Australia, Netflix and Legendary Television have released a brand new debut trailer for it. The End is Nigh at Only 2 Seasons?

Finally, a friendly kaiju. Maybe they can keep it?

This debut trailer for Pacific Rim: The Black season 2 on YouTube prominently shows off the very friendly yet very deadly kaiju that are on the twins’ side. The friendly kaiju especially seems to like Hayley, given that she basically bumped foreheads with the kaiju. Very gently, I might add. Otherwise, that would be a bad day for her.

This Pacific Rim: The Black season 2 debut trailer also prominently features the very creepy Sisters as the main antagonists. Apparently, they’ve all been possessed by demons. How else do you explain the solid black eyes with the weird black goo dripping from them? Oh, and they can apparently control kaiju too? Somehow? I presume that the anime will explain how that’s possible in this second and last season.

Pacific Rim: The Black Season 2 ~ Details

Wait, they’re fighting now? I thought they were friends?

Pacific Rim: The Black season 2 will debut on April 19, 2022. As you might expect from all the Netflix labels, this anime by Polygon Pictures (and created by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham) is still a Netflix exclusive, just like the first season. Thus, just like that first season, you have to shell out some cash for a Netflix subscription. Time to prepare your wallets, ladies, and gentlemen. To cancel this apocalypse, you’re going to need cold, hard cash.

As for what Pacific Rim: The Black season 2 will be about? Well, Netflix still has their official synopsis. Check it out below:

“In the epic series conclusion of Pacific Rim: The Black (S2), the journey is far from over. Our brave siblings Taylor and Hayley still hope to reach the safety of Sydney aboard Atlas Destroyer, the scaled-down training Jaeger left behind when Australia was evacuated. With teenage assassin Mei and the mysterious human/kaiju hybrid bOy joining Taylor and Hayley, this makeshift family must cross a dangerous territory controlled by the bloodthirsty cult Sisters of the Kaiju.
