Today we have the privilege of unboxing a tea box courtesy of Alchemy for the Skin. Alchemy For The skin is a skincare/tea line that does quarterly boxes. These boxes get their inspiration from Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. Previous boxes have been a Dolores Umbridge box that is all pink and with a scent of Cherry Almond. As well as a Hermione makeup box.

Although her boxes are beautiful, that is not all she does. Alchemy For The Skin also has fabulous creams/soaps that are for any type of skin. Such as the Pot of Gold lotion for pains in the joints or her dandelion lotion for dry skin and arthritis pain. All her products are organic and most are of her creation. Some of the goodies that come in the boxes are thanks to collaborations with other designers/creators.

Alchemy For The Skin’s boxes are uniquely made and always come with fun surprises. She adds collectible pins or teacups to them, I have about 3 pins so far. Additionally, each comes with a special scent or theme to correlate with the name of the box. The box we are opening today is full of specialty teas and a very beautiful collectible cup. Let’s dive in to see what is inside.

This box is the Herbology 102 Poison Plants Tea Box. As a Hufflepuff, I am loving this title. For those that do not know, the Herbology teacher, Professor Sprout, is the head of Hufflepuff, so I am loving the connection. Inside as I said is a collectible teacup and saucer, some sugar cubes, a collectible pin, and plenty of teas. Down below are more details.

Also at the bottom is the video of the unboxing, in case you do not want to read all this.

What’s In The Box?

teacup, saucer, letter, and sugar cubes inside Alchemy For the Skin box

First in the box is the description of what is inside. This comes written on parchment-colored paper. In addition, the font is a Potter font too (great detail). Each item and its ingredients Is on the paper so we know exactly what we get. I like that, especially because some of the names I find it hard to distinguish what is inside, but the piece of paper fixes all that.

Next, is the Teacup, saucer, and wooden spoon. The teacup has a beautiful light purple design with a couple of butterflies. The flowers stand out nicely against the white base color of the cup. The saucer has the same design as the teacup. The spoon is a smaller wooden one that fits perfectly into the teacup.

Along with the teacup comes a box of sugar cubes. The sugar cubes are of brown sugar and come in a cute clear cube container. Outside we have Dragon Dung Fertilizer written in a cursive print.  I absolutely love that little humorous detail. The sugar cubes smell delicious and I cannot wait to put them in my tea. I tried the orange sugar previously from another box and that tasted amazing, so I am looking forward to trying this one.

Additionally, the sugar cubes are from unrefined brown sugar. The sugar cane that makes these sugar cubes has been cultivated for 300 years in volcanic soil. This soil comes from the Island of Mauritius.

Another sugar that came with this box is the Mandrake Seedling Energy Food The name comes from the adorable plants whose cry can kill you. They come out in The Chamber of Secrets movie. This is a Maple Sugar.

Time To Par-Tea

the teas inside Alchemy For The Skin box

Now, onto the teas. Inside Alchemy For The Skin gives us seven different teas. They are

  1. Restorative Potion- This is an immunity boosting tea. Consisting of Spearmint, rosemary, lemon balm and linden. As well as eucalyptus, wood betony, blackberry leaf and eleuthero root.
  2. Draught of Peace- traditional English breakfast tea.
  3. Wolfsbane Potion- This is peach and ginger black tea. It is so good it will calm the wolf out of anyone.
  4. Venomous Tentacula Venom- It is an Earl Grey supreme. The ingredients are black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, and white tea.
  5. Poison Apple Concoction- Do not be fooled, no apples are actually in this tea. Instead we have a tea that has apricot pieces, cinnamon, and marigold flower petals. It is full of delicious flavors.
  6. Final Exam- My favorite of the bunch. This tea has chocolate mint with a tropical kick. The tropical kick comes from green tea and cornflower petals. As well as from rum flavor pineapple and coconut
  7. Cauldron #23- these are 4 natural tea bags in the shape of cauldrons.

To The Last Detail

the Alchemy For The Skin Herbology Tea box

The last item in the box is the collectible pin. These are the snow globe pins. They are known collectible items for those that buy boxes from Alchemy For the Skin. It is a beautiful snow globe-shaped pin inspired by the floo powder network. It says “remember to speak clearly” and has the floo network drawing on the globe. The detailing is incredible and another nice touch.

As I have said, Alchemy For the Skin is amazing. Her work is detailed and you can tell she puts a lot of time into it. Her boxes are on her website and up for order. Due to the time, it takes to make these, she does have boxes up months before shipping. To order your own boxes go to her website linked above. Also, feel free to use our code Wolfsbane15 for 15% off your order. These boxes are a fun addition for any Harry Potter fan.
