You know what’s better than watching the Wano arc of the One Piece anime? Watching them with friends and some celebrity guests.

So Luffy and Zoro are going to be watching themselves? Brilliant.

Funimation and Toei Entertainment officially announces a “One Piece Wano Watch Party” on Saturday, April 24, 2021. This watch party will coincide with the global simulcast of episodes 969 and 970, calling itself a “Virtual Simulcast Event”. The watch party will begin at 7 P.M. Central/9 P.M. Eastern/5 P.M. Pacific for US and Canadian viewers. Australian and New Zealand viewers will have to get up at 10 A.M. AEST and 12 P.M. NZST respectively. For everyone however, the watch party will last a grand total of 1 hour, 15 minutes long. So bring a bag of popcorn to snack on, would ya?

The One Piece Wano Watch Party will simulcast on Toei Animation’s YouTube channel. However, you can also watch it on Funimation’s YouTube channel if you don’t feel like going to Toei. It’s up to you to decide which channel you want to watch it on.

There is one more thing about the One Piece Wano Watch Party that should interest you though: the guest stars. Joining the party for a Q&A session on April 24 will be Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, and Tatsuya Nagamine. Who are they, you might ask? Well, Mayumi Tanaka is the voice of Monkey D. Luffy in the original Japanese version of the anime.

The voice behind all of them, but we know which one is the most famous.

Kazuya Nakai, meanwhile is the manly voice behind Roronoa Zoro.

And finally, Tatsuya Nagamine is an anime director working for Toei Animation. Specifically, he has been working as One Piece‘s director from 2019 to the present day.

An assuming man, but with a very important role.

All 3 guest stars have had big impacts on One Piece, one way or another. It’ll be interesting to get their views about the anime on the One Piece Wano Watch Party. It’ll also be interesting to hear their responses to questions from fans as well. We have much to look forward to on April 24.
