This summer, Magic: The Gathering is teaming up with Dungeons And Dragons. Releasing on July 16th, Dungeons and Dragons: Adventures In The Forgotten Realms is releasing. This new set replaces what would have been this year’s Core Set, but gives players a new way to play Magic.
Wizards Of The Coast said this about the set:
Releasing on July 16, we begin our journey in Faerûn with Adventures in the Forgotten Realms—the first time we’re bringing the world of Dungeons & Dragons to a Magic: The Gathering release. Unlike our usual mid-year Core Set release, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms has everything you love about Magic—mixed with the tropes and tools of Dungeons & Dragons for a flavorful and mechanically unique experience for players.
Now, this expansion is set within The Forgotten Realms, specifically in Faerun. So this could mean We could get more sets like this set in other D&D worlds and locations.
This new set both sounds amazing and is maybe just the start of more D&D crossovers with MTG. Now, more information should be coming in June, but we still have Strixhaven and Modern Horizons II releasing before this set.
