Starting off the panel right, Sam Roberts, Bill Miekina, and Steve Ozer went over the history of Mattel and WWE. Starting in 2010 with Elite and Basic figures, they’re now on line 100. The latest announced line for Walmart customers is Decade of Domination. It’s a celebration of the decade that Mattel and WWE have had together.
Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae joined to shame the other guys about going on with the reveals before they saw them. The first big reveal was the Fan Takeover figures. Fans will get to choose the gear that each wrestler wears on the figure. The winners were Wrestlemania 35 Seth Rollins, the silver and black Shayna Baszler, Ricky Steamboat from Wrestlemania 3, and Adam Cole in the black/yellow Undisputed Era gear.
Johnny Gargano and Candice brought news of wave two of this line. Randy Orton, Christian, X-Pac, and Johnny Gargano in the Wolverine gear. The NXT Takeover gear was a fan favorite at the time, and now it’s immortalized in a toy.
More Figures Coming From Mattel
Candice LeRae is finally getting a Mattel figure. It’s in the design stage still but from the looks of it, it’s a spitting image of LeRae.
Rhea Ripley was the next person to join in on the panel. She started off with some smack talk. Ripley was the latest to get a debut figure.
The details for this figure are astounding. Down to all the studs, chains, bits, and bobs of Ripley’s costume.

Wrestlemania Is The Finale For The Show
Chyna, Shawn Michaels, Edge, and Goldberg are the first in this line. The blue Universal Title sees it’s debut in the line.
Paul Ellering is the Build-A-Figure for the Wrestlemania line! It’s the first Rocco figure in the Mattel line as well.
The Mania ring cart makes it’s Mattel debut with either a Randy Savage figure or an Andre the Giant.
Conclusion To The Mattel/WWE Panel
We had a last question to the panel with legendary matches, and the various figures we had debuted. The Superstars on the panel were asked who they would have a Wrestlemania dream match with. Edge suggested Rhea Ripley vs. Beth Phoenix, but he later said that he would face Bret Hart in his prime. Ripley said Beth Phoenix. Gargano and LeRae said Phoenix and Edge. Later they said Shawn Michaels at the same time as a dream opponent. Ricochet went with lots of legends like Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Randy Orton, or The Rock.
Overall this was a great panel that showed off just what’s in store for fans of the Mattel/WWE product coming out later this year and in 2021.
