Black Butler fans are probably already aware that there’s going to be a new season of the anime in the form of Black Butler: Public School Arc. Fans of the manga of the same name by Yana Toboso will recognize the title and what it means. For those of you who don’t: it means that Ciel Phantomhive will get to play school for a bit. Complete with the stereotypical bread (or rather, biscuit) in mouth gag. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out the latest trailer for the anime below, and see for yourself just how ridiculous it is?

Black Butler: Public School Arc ~ Debut Details

Scenes likes this makes me wonder if Black Butler is a shonen anime or shojo.

Aniplex Channel has just posted a brand new trailer for Black Butler: Public School Arc on YouTube. As you can tell by the thumb, this trailer is all about introducing the 4 Prefects of Weston College. Each Prefect is somehow even more ridiculous than the previous, but that’s perfect for the story. Especially since the trailer shows Ciel in the classic anime school scene. You know, the one where a female character is running to school with a slice of bread in her mouth? Only, Ciel has a biscuit instead, perfect for the British setting. It’s little moments like these that’s why I love the manga and the anime adaptation.

Even better: that new trailer gives us a debut date for when we’ll get to see Ciel and the Prefects in action. According to that trailer: Black Butler: Public School Arc will make its airing and streaming debut on April 13, 2024. Alas, we have no word as of yet if Crunchyroll or any NA streaming platform will stream it yet. We’ll just have to wait for that at a later date.

Tune back in to THS to find out more Black Butler: Public School Arc and other anime news when we do.
