Disney is now the sole owner of the streaming service Hulu after making a deal with Comcast for their 1/3rd stake ownership. The company had this to say in a statement:

“The acquisition of Comcast’s stake in Hulu at fair market value will further Disney’s streaming objectives,”

Disney is expected to pay around $9 billion for the stake in the streaming giant. That number could fluctuate as it goes through the appraisal process for exactly how much Hulu is worth.

“While the timing of the appraisal process is uncertain, we anticipate it should be completed during the 2024 calendar year,”

This shouldn’t change much about Hulu itself, Disney was already a majority owner in the company, it just means they have a full control stake in the company now.

This is a developing story, we’ll keep you updated as we get more news.
