WATCH TO WATCH: TV & STREAMING RELEASES

THE NUN II

The Nun II is the sequel to the 2018 film, The Nun. The film is the 9th entry in The Conjuring Universe. The Nun II picks up four years after the original and once again features Sister Irene as she deals with the demonic nun, Valak. Lizzie White, in our THS review, appreciated the scares but also found some aspects of the film to be a little too drawn out.

Where’s it streaming?: Max on October 27

What’s it about? In 1956 France, a priest is violently murdered, and Sister Irene begins to investigate. She once again comes face-to-face with a powerful evil.

PAIN HUSTLERS

Where’s it streaming?: Netflix on October 27

What’s it about? After losing her job, a woman who’s struggling to raise her daughter takes a job out of desperation. She begins work at a failing pharmaceutical startup, but what she doesn’t anticipate is the dangerous racketeering scheme she’s suddenly entered.
