Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is one of my favorite campfire reads and the original film scared the crap out of me growing up. I can’t say the same for the 2019 remake. However, if you’re unfamiliar with the world of Pet Semetary, the original story introduces us to the Creed family whose cat is accidentally killed on the busy highway they live on. After burying it in the old “pet cemetery” the cat returns alive, but not the same. Then, a tragic accident happens when their son, Gage also dies. Louis Creed buries the boy in the cemetery despite the warnings of their local neighbor. I’m sure you can guess what happens next.

I’m excited to return to Ludlow, Maine for a new story, and to see how this demonic burial ground affects more people than the original story introduced us to.
