He helmed the most recent successful entry in the Transformers franchise, Rse of the Beasts. Now it looks like Steven Caple Jr. is in talks for another shot with the Autobots. The director confirmed the news to Deadline in an episode of their Crew Call show. His film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts opened this weekend to a $171 million box office gross worldwide. It knocked off Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse from the number one spot.

Caple Jr. and crew set the seeds for a sequel to Rise of the Beasts that involves G.I. Joe, another famous Hasbro property. In the end of the film, Noah (played by Anthony Ramos) gets recruited for the Joes by an operative (played by Michael Kelly). You can read our review of Rise of the Beasts below.
The film opened to a higher box office gross than the previous film Bumblebee. It also pulled in better numbers demographically than previous films in the series. Overall, Rise of the Beasts looks like its a success story for Paramount and Hasbro.
