Fans of the books and Prime Video series have been waiting with bated breath for any announcement about season two of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Well, it looks like we’re slowly starting to get some sneak peeks into the new season!!

On Prime Video’s Instagram, they quietly dropped a poster for season 2 today! We don’t have a premiere date for Season 2 just yet, but does this mean a date, teaser and a full trailer are on their way?? I hope so!

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational coming-of-age drama by author Jenny Han. Isabel “Belly” Conklin (the series protagonist) is the daughter of Laurel and the younger sister of Steven. She is a headstrong young girl, who is equally as fragile. While she has had a lifelong crush on Conrad, Belly finds herself developing feelings for his brother, Jeremiah. Giving the series an intense love triangle. This coming-of-age story is about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer. 

The Summer I Turned Pretty stars newcomer Lola Tung as Belly, and Christopher Briney as Conrad. Playing Jeremiah is Gavin Casalegno (The Vampire Diaries), and Jackie Chung (Station 19) as Belly’s mother. To round out the rest of the cast are Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Colin Ferguson, and Tom Everett Scott. 

The Summer I Turned Pretty is led by showrunners Jenny Han (who also wrote the pilot), and Gabrielle Stanton. Han, Stanton, as well as Karen Rosenfelt, serve as Executive Producers along with Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Nne Ebong for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.
