You all know how we got an announcement of the Korean webtoon (not manga) Solo Leveling by writer Chugong and artist Dubu (who passed away in July 2022) receiving an anime adaptation last year at Anime Expo 2022? As it turns out, we just got a new teaser trailer for this anime adaptation. It even comes with an actual release window for said anime. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out that teaser trailer for yourself below?

Solo Leveling: The Soonish-to-be Anime?

I sense a hint of religious imagery here.

Crunchyroll is proud to hype up the upcoming anime adaptation of Solo Leveling with that official teaser trailer above on YouTube. Said official teaser trailer shows off some clips of rather impressive animation. One would think that it’s a teaser for a new season of Sword Art Online, really. It’s rather fitting really, since A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) is the animation studio behind this Solo Leveling anime adaptation as well.

Even better though, the very end of that teaser trailer gives us a release window for that anime adaptation. According to it, we’ll get to see Solo Leveling in anime form sometime “next winter”. What this means is Winter 2024. It’s a bit of a long wait, admittedly. But based solely on the new teaser trailer (and also on the new key visual), it looks like it’s worth the wait.

Solo Leveling: Key Visual and Synopsis

'Solo Leveling" NA key visual.
Definitely looks like some sort of religious symbolism here, but I can’t tell from which one.
