Magic: the Gathering, meet The Lord of the Rings. The newest expansion for Magic titled The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth is here! We’ve got plenty of details about the upcoming set expansion for Magic: the Gathering. Starting June 23rd, you’ll be able to play Magic with the best characters of The Lord of the Rings. It’ll also be available on MTG: Arena with all the same cards as the tabletop release.

The new set will be legal in the Modern, Legacy, Commander, and limited formats for Magic. It will not be legal in Pioneer or Standard.

Starting off, here’s what a booster box and set booster box of the new set looks like.
