It’s been a busy couple of months for James Gunn, he’s taken over with Peter Safran as the heads of DC Films, and now he’s also let loose some of the upcoming DC films we can expect. However, one film we shouldn’t expect is Zack Snyder‘s Justice League 2. He responded to a tweet with the hashtag SellTheSnyderVerseToNetflix.
Now, that not only puts to bed any rumors or possibilities for Zack Snyder to return to the fold in DC, but also any rumors that DC would “sell” to Netflix any sort of their Justice League content. It also shows that James Gunn and Zack Snyder have talked. So there’s that bit of hope for the people holding out that we get a sequel to a movie from 2017 that’s based on a universe that doesn’t exist anymore with actors playing roles that they no longer play.
The future of DC is bright though. They’ve got plenty of projects lined up in the future with a huge plan set forth by Gunn and Safran. There’s new projects with Superman, Batman, Swamp Thing, and other characters and also movies like Joker 2 and The Batman 2 coming as well.
On the Zack Snyder front, he has Rebel Moon coming out on Netflix later this year, with a sequel or second part almost assuredly coming after that. He’s been busy in his post-DC time with projects like Army of the Dead and Army of Thieves. So, for fans of his, he’s got projects coming down the line.
UPDATE: James Gunn went even further to elaborate on what Zack Snyder and him talked about in regards to DC and his film future.
