Ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over at DC, people have been waiting with bated breath for their film slate. Now, we know at least a part of it.

A new Batman movie without Robert Pattinson (but featuring Bruce Wayne’s murderous son) is coming soon. A Superman movie (that we already knew was coming) has a release date of July 11th, 2025. A Game of Thrones-style drama set on Themyscira is on the way. There’s also a mystery animated series in the works.

That’s just a small portion of the slate on the way. They have a title for it, Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters. So it looks like DC is FINALLY taking a page out of Marvel’s book and building a coherent story with an endpoint. Here’s the rest of the entire slate.

Chapter 1 Of The DC Slate

Creature Commandos: An animated series written by Gunn that is already in production. This is a modern take on the classic concept, a group of monsters put together to fight Nazis. No voice actors have been cast, but they’re looking for people to play live-action versions of the characters.

“A seven-episode animated show in which Amanda Waller creates a black ops team out of monstrous prisoners; Gunn wrote all the episodes of the first season”

Waller: Viola Davis returns in this spinoff of Peacemaker. It’s being written by Christal Henry and Jeremy Carver, the creators of Doom Patrol.

“Starring Viola Davis, this series features Team Peacemaker and will be written by Christal Henry (Watchmen) and Jeremy Carver (Supernatural)”

Superman: Legacy: The kickoff to DC’s plans, the Superman movie that James Gunn is writing and may direct. This is not an origin story for the character, it has a release date of July 25th, 2025.

“Written by Gunn, the film will hit theaters on July 11, 2025, and focus on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing.

Lanterns: Greg Berlanti’s Green Lanterns TV series has been canceled. In its place will be a new take on the space cops with colored rings.

“This enormous TV event series follows intergalactic cops John Stewart and Hal Jordan as they uncover a dark mystery”

The Authority: A movie based on a team of superheroes with rather extreme methods of protecting the planet that first originated in the late 1990s under an influential imprint known as Wildstorm, run by artist and now head of DC publishing, Jim Lee.

“DC’s WildStorm characters will join the DCU as members of The Authority take matters into their own hands to do what they believe is right”

Paradise Lost: A Wonder Woman series set on Themyscira. Filled with political intrigue and scheming between power players, takes place before the Wonder Woman films.

“Set in Themyscira, home of the Amazons and birthplace of Wonder Woman, this drama focuses on the genesis and political intrigue of an island of all women

The Brave and the Bold: The reintroduction of Batman to the DCEU based on Grant Morrison’s run on the character. Will also feature Damien Wayne. Will feature a Batman not played by Robert Pattinson.

“Tthe DCU will introduce its Batman and Robin in this unusual father-son story inspired by Grant Morrison’s comic series

The Batman sequel: Comes out October 3rd, 2025. The sequel to The Batman starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Matt Reeves.

Booster Gold: An HBO Max series about someone who uses future technology to come back in time and pretend to be a superhero.

“Booster Gold uses basic technology from the future to pretend to be a superhero in present day”

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow: A new take on Supergirl that promises to take from the recent Tom King series on Superman’s cousin.

“This science fiction adventure, which will be based on Tom King’s amazing, award-winning recent comics stories, presents a Supergirl viewers are not used to seeing”

Swamp Thing: A DC horror film that’s supposed to close out the slate.
