It’s about that time. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will officially return for Bad Boys 4.
The original buddy-cop action comedy released in 1995, followed by a sequel in 2003. Then, 25 years after the first Bad Boys, Smith and Lawrence returned for a third installment in 2020. Shortly after Bad Boys for Life, Sony Pictures announced plans for a fourth film.
Now, the stars have confirmed their involvement in the project in a new video posted to social media.
“Y’all better stop scrolling,” Smith says before getting into a car and driving to a new location, where Lawrence opens the door to exclaim, “It’s about that time!”
The yet-untitled Bad Boys 4 comes from writer Chris Bremner. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who directed the third film, return for the upcoming chapter. Currently, the film is just in early pre-production though. So don’t expect to catch it soon just yet.
Smith recently starred in the feature Emancipation. He also executive produces Netflix’s Cobra Kai and Peacock’s dramatic Fresh Prince update, Bel-Air.
Lawrence recently starred in Mindcage and produced Martin: The Reunion, a retrospective about his hit 90s sitcom.
