Hang on to that thought, declaring that Shazam! Fury of the Gods would be irrelevant following the leadership shakeup at DC. After watching the new trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the film looks excellent. It releases in theaters on March 17th, 2023. It stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Rachel Zegler, Asher Angel, Adam Brody, Grace Caroline Currey, and many others. Director David F. Sandberg returns to direct a script from Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan.

One thing this trailer hammers home is the power of the old gods. It also looks more fantasy-based than other superhero films. That aesthetic shines through in the trailer. We’ll have to see how Shazam fits into the future plans for DC, but for now, we have Fury of the Gods to look forward to.
