ABOUT GLASS ONION

Glass Onion is the follow-up to writer/director Rian Johnson’s film Knives Out. The first film was released in 2019 and was a surprise hit with both critics and audiences. This led to Netflix signing a mega-deal with Rian Johnson for the rights to two sequels. According to reports on the $400 million dollar deal, Johnson retained full creative control over the Knives Out franchise. Which was a great move given how successful the first film was. The only requirements of the deal were Daniel Craig must star in the sequels and that each film has at least the budget of the original movie, which was in the $40 million range.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, will release on Netflix on December 23. The film will also be available for one week only in theatres beginning a month earlier on November 23.

In the follow-up to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.
