Clerks III was looking like it wasn’t going to happen for a bit there. Between the pandemic and Kevin Smith having some scary health issues, this sequel was not guaranteed. However, those health issues gave him the inspiration to make this film. The new trailer shows off Rosario Dawson, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Jeff Anderson, Brian O’Halloran, and Trevor Fehrman in their old roles among other cameo appearances from the likes of Ben Affleck, Justin Long, and plenty of others.

Here’s the synopsis for Clerks III:

Dante, Elias, and Jay and Silent Bob are enlisted by Randal after a heart attack to make a movie about the convenience store that started it all.

You can see the movie in theaters this Fall or you can see it with Kevin Smith when Clerks III: The Convenience Tour rolls into a city near you. Grab tickets at Clerks3.movie. The Convenience Tour goes from September to October and they’re offering a VIP Experience that includes a signed screenplay and a picture with Kevin Smith.

We’ll have to see how much the film is influenced by Kevin Smith’s life when it comes out this Fall.
