Brace yourselves… the dragons are coming.
HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon finally has a premiere date. The series will officially premiere on August 21.
HBO announced the premiere date along with a new poster today. It features – what else? – a dragon egg.
House of the Dragon adapts George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood. Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the show tells the story of House Targaryen.
The series stars Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.
Now that we have a release date, it seems like a good time to revisit the first official teaser:
House of the Dragon will have a 10-episode first season. It will premiere Sunday, August 21 on HBO. The show will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
