It’s been six months since the kids of Hawkins, Indiana took on the Mind Flayer in the mall.

(In the show’s timeline, anyways. It’s been almost three years in real time since Stranger Things fans had new episodes to watch.)

Now struggling with the aftermath of the Battle of Starcourt, the group finds themselves truly separated for the first time. And dealing with the new pressures of high school certainly isn’t helping. But when a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, solving the gruesome mystery may finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

The premiere of Stranger Things season 4 marks one of Netflix’s most anticipated returns. Since the show’s initial release back in 2016, it has become a huge hit with critics and fans alike. The series has landed over 175 award nominations and 65 wins. It’s also one of Netflix’s most-watched titles; Season 3 brought in 582 million view hours.
