Fresh off some Oscar buzz, Jamie Dornan has lined up his next big role. He will reportedly star opposite Gal Gadot in an upcoming Netflix film, Heart of Stone.
Plot details about Heart of Stone remain under wraps. But we do know it’s an international spy thriller produced by Skydance Media. The same studio put out Mission: Impossible: Fallout and Top Gun: Maverick, as well as the Netflix hit The Old Guard.
In fact, Heart of Stone comes from The Old Guard writer Greg Rucka and Oscar-nominee Allison Schroeder. Tom Harper (Peaky Blinders) is set to direct. Deadline does describe the project as a “high priority” for Netflix, who won the rights to the film in a competitive auction.
Unfortunately, beyond that, we don’t have many details about what Heart of Stone has in store for fans. Will Dornan play a rival spy? The villain? Gadot’s partner? For now, Netflix is leaving us in the dark.
Dornan recently starred in Oscar frontrunner Belfast opposite Caitriona Balfe. His next project, HBO Max series The Tourist, premieres on March 3.
Wonder Woman star Gadot will next appear in Agatha Christie mystery Death on the Nile, premiering February 11. She recently appeared in another spy flick for Netflix, Red Notice, which became the platform’s most-watched film of all time.
