There’s a lot of reasons to love Ghostbusters: Afterlife. But one of the biggest draws for fans of the franchise has been the chance to see all the Easter eggs in the movie!

The 2021 release comes from director Jason Reitman (son of original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman). In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the Ghostbusters and the secret legacy an original Ghostbuster left behind.

Technically speaking, the film works as a stand-alone, but it’s crafted in a way that’s very much a tribute to the original films (and the original fans). Ahead of the movie’s DVD/Blu-ray release, Sony dropped a special featurette highlighting the Easter Eggs of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Check it out below:

This clip spotlights a number of Easter eggs, from cameo appearances, to important names carried over from the original films, to blink-and-you’ll-miss-it set decorations. It also includes a bit of bonus content from the original Ghostbusters; the cameo appearance of Reitman’s family cut from the original made it into Afterlife as a flashback captured on YouTube.

But this clip really only scratches the surface of all the Easter eggs in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. If you plan on grabbing a physical copy of the film once it drops on Blu-Ray, you can dive in deeper.
