Ranking of Kings: Details

A child shall lead them, along with a 2-eyed blob. That’s how it went, right?

So what is Ranking of Kings about? Well, for starters, it’s the latest anime from Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, The Ancient Magus’ Bride). Ranking of Kings itself is the anime adaptation of the seinen fantasy comedy manga of the same name by Sōsuke Tōka. The story stars a deaf-mute young prince who seems to be on the road not to kingship. He soon finds a new friend who may change his mind, and everyone else’s, about that.

Strange friend, but better than no one.

The official synopsis from Funimation gives more details about Ranking of Kings:

Unable to hear, speak, or wield a sword, Prince Bojji doesn’t seem like a typical heir to the throne—and his kingdom agrees. But his fateful encounter with Kage, a shadow on the ground, gives him his first true friend. The two set off on a grand adventure and, together, form a bond that can overcome any obstacle… even being king.
