Disney has announced the new annual passholder program for Walt Disney World! The new program will go on sale September 8th, just in time ahead of the resort’s 50th anniversary. The news comes not far too behind of Disneyland’s “Key Holder” program that is now on sale.

So let’s dive in and what’s new!

New Name Changes

Each of the new four passes will be called Disney Pixie Dust Pass (FL Resident), Disney Pirate Pass (FL Resident), Disney Sorcerer Pass (FL Resident and DVC Member) and Disney Incredi-Pass. The Incredi-Pass is the only pass that isn’t a non-Florida resident pass. Disney Vacation Club members who are not Florida residents will be able to get the Sorcerer Pass.

Some Cool Perks

  • Hold More Park Reservations: Depending on their pass type, passholders may now hold up to five Disney Park Pass reservations at a time. Bonus reservations for the calendar will be included time to time. In which passholders can make an additional park reservation without it counting against their reservation limit. Passholders that stay at any of the on-resort hotels has another benefit towards it. You can make theme park reservations for each day of your stay, in addition to the reservations based off your pass type.
  • Customize Your Pass: Guests can choose different add-on options based their preferences. This includes the water parks and sports option to Disney PhotoPass downloads. These add-on options will be available for purchase with any of the four new passes. 
  • Access a New Integrated Calendar: Planning will be easier with enhancements towards the reservation system, including a new integrated calendar. This allows Passholders quickly see blackout dates for each pass type. Plus to view available days and make, modify or cancel a reservation.
  • Enjoy Passholder Perks: Passes will continue to offer benefits including the Park Hopper option, standard theme park parking and discounts on merchandise and dining. Disney said their will be a few special surprises throughout the 50th anniversary celebration. For more information by visiting the link here for details.

The only downside towards for the perks, is that Disney PhotoPass is “not free” and will be an upcharge. It will cost $99.99 plus tax for the year. Digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos and videos captured to be part of your account, if you decide to add on. Discounts on prints and physical product purchases are part of it. The photos are taken by digital Disney Photopass photographers through out the resort.

Passholder Reservation Limitations

If you decide to be part of the new program, there are some limits that you must know. Here’s better explanation of it:

For those who get the Disney Incredi-Pass and Disney Sorcerer Pass can hold up to 5 reservations at a time. With anyone that has a Disney Pirate Pass will able to hold up to 4 reservations. Disney Pixie Dust Pass up to 3 reservations. Platinum Plus, Platinum and Gold Passes up to 5 reservations held at a time. And for Silver will able to make 4 reservations held at a time.

Anyone renewing after September 8th. 2021 will have to choose the new passes or not to renew. A discount up to 15% with the previous renewals for that amount will be offered. Any passholders that are eligible for a renewal “on or before September 7th, 2021” may select existing options. The next step after that, and will need to select from one of the new passes for their next renewal cycle.

Extras

The image design for the new look of the program, and is using the original Walt Disney World Resort logo. Bright colors and energetic design, for the program’s new look to put you right in middle of the magic. Conclusion

Walt Disney World is ramping up a lot of attractions, experiences and much more starting October 1st. From two new nighttime shows, “Disney Enchantment” and “Harmonious”, and newest attraction of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot. The new program is about giving flexibility and options, for those who get a pass.
