The only way to move forward… is to throw it back. Dear White People returns for its fourth and final season this September.
Check out the teaser for the musical (!) final season below.
Unfortunately, beyond a taste of musicality, there’s not much to pull from this clip. It’s definitely more of a teaser for things to come, although it does give you the chance to jam to “This Is How We Do It”.
Here’s the official description of season 4 from Netflix:
Set against the backdrop of senior year at Winchester as well as a not-so-distant, post-pandemic future, Dear White People Vol. 4 finds our characters looking back at the most formative (and theatrical) year of their lives. Both an Afro-futuristic and 90s-inspired musical event, Dear White People Vol. 4 is a can’t-miss, farewell experience with one pitch-perfect promise: sometimes the only way to move forward is to throw it back.
The series stars Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori, Ashley Blaine Featherson, and Marque Richardson. It comes from acclaimed creator Justin Simien, who’s next scheduled to direct Disney’s new Haunted Mansion film. Simien is also slated to create, write, and executive produce the Star Wars series Lando.
The much-anticipated final season drops Wednesday, September 22 on Netflix.
