George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead is probably the most influential horror movie ever made. So it’s no surprise that it’s seen rereleases, remakes, and now an animated version. The upcoming release, Night of the Animated Dead comes out on Digital, September 21st and Blu-ray/DVD on October 5th, 2021. This is an animated adaptation that includes never-before-seen exclusive animated scenes not in the original film. Pre-orders for the physical version start August 10th, 2021.

In Night of the Animated Dead, siblings Barbara and Johnny visit their father’s grave in a remote cemetery in Pennsylvania when they are suddenly set upon by zombies. Barbara flees and takes refuge in an abandoned farmhouse along with stranded motorist Ben and four local survivors found hiding in the cellar. Together, the group must fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies while also confronting their own fears and prejudices.
The cast includes: Josh Duhamel, Dulé Hill, Katharine Isabelle, James Roday Rodriguez, Katee Sackhoff, Will Sasso, Jimmi Simpson, and Nancy Travis.
