It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten any news about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot. We do know that Fede Alvarez is producing with David Blue Garcia in the director’s chair. Now, we have the some news about the MPAA rating and the title. Yes, it’s another film in the long-running series, simply titled Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I’ll complain about that later. The MPAA has also given the film an R-Rating for:

“Strong bloody horror violence and gore, and language.”

So at least that’s good. They’re not messing around trying to get a PG-13 rating for the box office draw. And with Fede Alvarez producing, I’m sure that the guy who made the fantastic Evil Dead remake, wouldn’t allow a PG-13 rating. The film is written by Chris Tomas Devlin. It stars Elsie Fisher (“Castle Rock”), Sarah Yarkin (Happy Death Day 2U), Mark Burnham (Wrong Cops), Moe Dunford (The Dig), Olwen Fouéré (Mandy), Alice Krige (“Star Trek”), Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner), Nell Hudson (Victoria), Jessica Allain (The Laundromat), Sam Douglas (Snatch), William Hope (Dark Shadows), and Jolyon Coy (“War & Peace”).

For now, that’s all we have the details about, but look forward to a bigger article complaining about how lazy horror reboot and sequel titles are.
