Ace Ventura 3 is coming to Amazon Prime. Well that’s at least what Morgan Creek said at a retrospective for their company. The production company that made films like Major League, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and other great films in the 90’s is bringing the character back. Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who wrote Sonic: The Hedgehog are on board to write the film.

We’re pretty excited about our franchise developments with Exorcist and the Ace Ventura franchise. During COVID, audiences have been in love and are thrilled to have beloved characters brought back with new stories. Ace Ventura will see a new day at Amazon as a major motion-picture/theatrical with the Sonic the Hedgehog writers.

This comes from Park Circus. The 90’s nostalgia is on full-display in the 2020’s so far. Sonic The Hedgehog was a big film for Jim Carrey and Co. His character Dr. Robotnik, comes from the same vein as Ace Ventura. Carrey has been dropping Ace impressions all over the place in 2020.

Films like Coming 2 America are bringing interest in the past, made anew, again. Amazon Prime Video is likely looking to capitalize on this with another film in the comedy franchise. It just needs to be quality, funny, and let Jim Carrey rip with his unique brand of comedy.
