If you’ve ever wondered what the process looks like when a comic book gets adapted to screen, you’re in luck. Netflix is offering fans a peak at the transformation of Jupiter’s Legacy.
The new teaser gives fans a first look at the series, and shows how Frank Quitely’s sketches come to life for streaming. Check out the teaser below. (And comic fans, watch out for some Easter Eggs!)
So who can you spot in the teaser? Here’s a quick list:
- Blackstar (Tyler Mane), the season’s most terrifying villain
- Hutch (Ian Quinlan), son of one of the world’s greatest supervillains
- Chloe Sampson (Elena Kampouris), daughter of the world’s greatest superheroes
- Sheldon Sampson (Josh Duhamel) in 1929, and his future son, Paragon/Brandon Sampson (Andrew Horton)
- Finally, first generation superheroes Lady Liberty/Grace Sampson (Leslie Bibb), The Utopian/Sheldon Sampson (Duhamel) and Brainwave/Walter Sampson (Ben Daniels)
In Jupiter’s Legacy, the world’s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents’ legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards.
The super series debuts May 7 on Netflix.
